Students Without Mothers: Macy’s Shop for a Cause

“You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself.” ~Harvey S. Firestone

When I launched my consulting business, I decided to make giving part of my company’s mission. I believe if you invest your time and resources in others, you can change the landscape of the future for the better. So as I began my quest to find volunteer opportunities in my area, I learned about an awesome organization, Students Without Mothers. SWM was founded by my friend, Mary Torrence, and the organization is dedicated to helping high school students who are without their mothers due to death or other unfortunate circumstances. Their main purpose is to provide scholarships for college bound high school seniors to help them continue their education.

Students Without Mothers is participating in Macy’s Shop For a Cause on Saturday, August 27, 2011. By purchasing a $5 Shopping Pass you, will receive exclusive savings in every Macy’s store nationwide and online at macys.com. Save 25% all day on regular, sale and clearance items, including home. Save 10% on electrics/electronics, furniture, mattresses and rugs/floor coverings. For those of you with kids heading to college this fall, this is a great way to save on their back to school needs while supporting a worthy cause.

SWM keeps 100% of all proceeds from ticket sales for this event. We need your help to meet our fundraising goal of $5,000. Please click here to order your pass today, and be sure to enter my name as the referer.

Thank you in advance for your support!
